I Tied For 2nd Place | Seashells and the Seashore December Logo Contest
As many of you know now I recently became an artist on Fine Art America. There are so many great things about being a part of the FAA community, and being able to enter member art competitions is one of them. I am happy to announce that I just tied for second place in the ‘Seashells and the Seashore December Logo Contest’, for my photograph ‘Fire In The Sky’.
This competition was a judged by a panel. Where as the majority of contests on FAA are voted on by artist entered in that competition, therefore I am even more happier with this honour. There were 166 members participating and 310 images submitted. My prize: a feature on the Seashells and the Seashore’s group homepage for 1 month.
It is really encouraging when you get recognition from people, and even more so when you place in competitions. FAA has not only allowed me to expand my product range and ship my work globally, it has also allowed me to interact with many other artists and gain a new audience I would otherwise not have been exposed to.
Since joining FAA on October 1 2015 I have sold wall art, duvet covers, tote bags, throw pillows and apparel. I have a premium membership that costs $30 per year and comes with the easiest website you will ever have. I use that website as my Print Shop, and have attached it to my main website and blog. It is also a great alternative to my Galleries (Australian shipping only), as I can now ship a number of different products worldwide.
I highly recommend joining FAA if you want to:
- Mingle with amazing and inspiring artists
- Have a safe, easy, and secure platform to showcase your work
- Enter competitions
- Join art groups
- Sell your art
- Have more fun
I don not make money by sending people to FAA. I just enjoy the experience, and the extra cash in my pocket each month. By sharing the word, maybe some of you will also.
Note: Fine Art America host a number of different art styles, including sculpture, painting, digital art, mixed media and much more!
